The building is 1950's art deco style. The Gallery fronts onto the Tweed River and looks out to the ever changing Wollumbin/Mt Warning. The Bunjalung Aboriginal people occupied the Tweed Valley long before European settlement and Chinderah is one of the small villages found along the winding Tweed River, dating back to the late 19th century.

Curious Art is a Cooperative Gallery located by the banks of the Tweed River on the Far North Coast of NSW.

It is one of the growing number of Kingscliff Art Galleries.

It is just a few minutes drive from nearby Kingscliff and less than 10 minutes from Tweed City. Take the Chinderah/Kingscliff exit off the freeway bridge after coming down from Sexton's Hill, Banora Point. Follow the loop to the roundabout: Left to Chinderah / Right to Fingal. Curious Art Gallery is approximately 2 km on the left from that roundabout. It is the big pink building next to the Chinderah Village Caravan Park entrance. See detailed map this page.

Other Art Galleries in the Kingscliff area are The Sheoak Shack located by the Tweed River at nearby Fingal and Total Art Concepts along the beachfront near the big fig trees at Kingscliff.
